JAMES Chamanga has renewed his contract with Chinese club Liaoning Whowin for another two years.
Chamanga, who joined Liaoning Whowin in 2013 from another Chinese club Dalian Shinde, said he was happy with the competitiveness of the league.
“The Chinese league is competitive; people underrate the league because it’s not just shown on SuperSport. But it’s a tough league. If we can have another Zambian player going there, they can attest to how competitive the league is,” Chamanga said.
Chamanga has scored 11 goals in 23 appearances for the 2014 season, compared to seven goals in 25 appearances in 2013.
Chamanga described 2014 as a wonderful but challenging year.
“It has been a wonderful year but with challenges; my brother Luka was very sick and my career was in between, the club was in relegation. I thank God for what He did for us; we survived relegation and He also did it for my brother,” said Chamanga, who is camped with Chipolopolo in South Africa ahead of the AfCON next month.（By Prudence Phiri）
